Abstract
This research is motivated by the rapid development of digital technology, the use of digital platforms in financial transactions is now an important factor in making it easier for people to worship. Students are the younger generation who have an important role in adopting this technology for Islamic philanthropic activities. This study aims to determine the influence of trust and ease of use of digital platforms on the decision to pay infak and alms in students of the Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Suska Riau. Using a quantitative research method with a survey approach, the sample in this study amounted to 97 people obtained using the purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out through questionnaires as the main method.
The results of this study show that there is an influence of Trust (X1) and Ease of Use (X2) on the Decision to Pay Infak and Alms (Y) in Students of the Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Suska Riau. Based on the results of the t-test, it is known that Trust has a T value of (4,800) > T table (1.985) with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, and Ease of Use has a T value of (2,602) > T table (1,985) with a significance of 0.01 < 0.05. This means that both variables partially have a positive and significant effect on the decision to pay. In addition, the results of the F test showed that the F value was calculated as 167.762 > F table was 3.09 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that Trust and Ease of Use simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on the Decision to Pay Infak and Alms through a digital platform in students of the Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Suska Riau. The determination coefficient value (R2) of 0.781 showed that 78.1% of the payment decision was influenced by Trust and Ease of Use, while the remaining 21.9% was influenced by other factors that were not studied.
Viewed from the perspective of sharia economics, this implementation is in accordance with sharia principles, because it not only provides convenience in worship, but also upholds the values of trust, transparency, accuracy, and responsibility. Digital platforms are a means to increase motivation and sharia in sharing as a form of help-help (ta'awun), as well as functioning as a medium that facilitates the distribution of people's funds fairly, quickly, and efficiently for the common good.
